Generally, all the pallets excluding the last one are deposited on a set of trolleys. A stark difference here is that, unlike live racking, here only one aisle is engaged in both operations. What that means is you would require only one aisle for loading and unloading. This system is used for homogeneous inventory which can be stored together, and operationally selecting the first or last pallet on the rail level is theoretically same.
